Dagger and Hatchet love having their picture taken.
On February 19th, 2010 I went to a meeting of the Long Beach chapter of the CTTC (California Turtle and Tortoise Club.) They have an adoption program for abandoned turtles or turtles that for some reason have been turned in to animal control. The next day, Februray 20th I became the proud owner of 2 small Red Ear Sliders, a female and male named Hatchet and Dagger. They pretty much kick ass. Tomorrow I'll be planting some things in the garden I can feed them. I also bought a metal detector and I'm gonna use it to look for meteorites.
The first time she (Hatchet) gets the best spot on the basking rock, he (Dagger) climbs right on top of her to remind her that's his place. what a jerk!
This is my small garden in Long Beach. I planted things thtat my turtles are supposed to eat. We'll see what happens.
